That's how it works here in town at one of the gas stations. The guys got called out a little while ago but it turned out to be a controlled burn that hadn't been called in. So they weren't out very long. As Tux and I were walking down to the post office, I saw the new pumper and the rapid attack truck leaving the fire hall. I wondered if maybe they had been paged out again. But when I saw them coming back just after I left the post office, I saw they had slushies. So if you ever see fire trucks at the gas station... it doesn't always mean there's a fire. They could be just getting their free slushies on a hot day after being called out to a fire.

Summary: Three dialog ficlets about Wilson taking Amber to meet his parents. The first two are from his parents’ POV before and after W/A arrive, and the third is Wilson and Amber’s discussion about the evening while driving back home.

A/N: The first two parts were written for the House/Cuddy/Wilson/Amber Drabble-A-Thon in the House_Wilson Community using prompt: “Visiting the parents.” The third is new, and uses the “Visiting the parents” prompt, and “All the love in the world.” I wanted to work with dialog, and thought it would be fun to characterize Wilson’s parents through this technique. This is unbetad. Concrit is appreciated.

I've been having this ridiculous habit lately of associating very sappy, sweet pop songs with my OTPs. Do not even get me started on Colbie Caillat and "Realize", because I really do have no shame. Okay, so maybe I do, because I can't quite bring myself to write out the smoopy domestic fic ideas that pop into my head every time I hear it.
